Spring Soccer at Lee

We enjoyed our third season of spring soccer at Lee. For me it was two and half hours on the soccer field every Tuesday night for practice, armed with lots of snacks and chasing after a very active 16mth old while watching the kids practice. I did get in some time chatting with friends! Evan loved running after the ball and kicking it on the fields. He was pretty darn cute out there! Javan has improved tremendously this season and we definitely saw a love for the game from Ria. She really went after the ball and wanted to play hard this time. We're proud of both of them for always trying the best and working hard for their teams.

The season started March 17 and finished last Saturday (May 2). Here's some pics from first practice and then throughout the season.

I didn't take as many pics this season. It was hard to keep up with Evan while watching games but we also got rained out quite a bit and ended up playing indoors for a few weeks. Indoor was great. Definitely much faster but the kids still enjoyed it.

Birthday Fun!

Another year older .... wow!

First thing in the morning, the kids put out some gifts for me and Ria asked me to sit by them so she could take my pic just like I do for them on their birthdays. I told her I would rather have them with me in the pic cos they are the best gifts I have ever received.

We spent most of Saturday on the soccer field for the kids first games. It was HOT but we had a good time.

I got my hair cut and went out shopping for a bit so the kids could have a chance to bake me the cake they wanted to.

 I wish I looked like the 25yr old I still feel like :)

 Jermaine got a few of our friends together for dinner at FoodWorks. It was a nice relaxing evening, but for the first time ever the food was awful.

 We ended the night at Milk and Honey ... YUM YUM YUM

 Such a fun night with these girls and their sweet families.

Sunday after church, the kids and J took me to Blue Water Grille for brunch. It was delicious and made up for the not so good meal we had the night before

Great weekend celebrating with my family. But it didnt end there. My sweet hubby took today of from work just so he could celebrate with me alone. We worked out first thing in the morning

 surprised the kids with a visit at lunch time

 and then had our lunch Gardners Market

 and had a treat at Menchies

 Such a great day hanging out with my hubby. This birthday was perfect just being with my family.
