Birthday Fun

We had a fun Labour Day weekend with the added bonus of my birthday falling in the middle of it!  Beautiful roses from my hubby to start off the weekend of celebrating
We went out to Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner and topped of the evening with this delicious chocolate cake
More flowers - this bunch from my parents.
The kids climbed into bed with me early morning and wanted me to open up presents
- love how excited they get!
After church we went to Tupelo Honey in Chattanooga for brunch. It was wonderful.
I didn't get pics of the food but here's a few of us while we waited on our table :)
Today we went out to Chilahowee and hiked to Benton Falls. We had the best time out there.

It was the perfect end to a beautiful, relaxing birthday weekend. Loved being with my family and I am always so thankful for another year to celebrate!

Javan is NINE!!!

I can't believe Javan is NINE. It's like I blinked and nine years have zoomed by. And its his last year in single digits *sniff sniff* my baby boy is entering those tween years way too quickly. In all honestly its been a joy watching Javan grow into this incredibly amazing kid that he is. He has the sweetest, most tender heart. He is smart. He is determined. He is playful. He has the best laugh ever. You can't help but laugh with him :) He loves his family and he loves, loves, loves Jesus.

Here's some pics from his birthday celebrations ... we always kick of his bday with a donut for his breakfast
I was trying to get some pics of Javan before he left for tennis camp and that cuteness in the background walked right into the shot!!!
roller blades and a new Chelsea jersey .... he's thrilled!
He was so excited to see Mr. Simmons (his 3rd grade teacher) at tennis camp on his birthday. The downside of having a summer birthday is that you don't get to see your friends from school so this really made his day.
Highlight of his last day at tennis camp was being nominated in his age group for the most Christ like award.
The rest of the afternoon was spent doing stuff he wanted to do - lunch at Chick-fil-a, playing with his roller blades, some time at Barnes and Noble and then we ended the evening with dinner at PF Changs.
A week later he got to celebrate with a few of his friends at a pool party. It was lots of fun and low key and just perfect!
Evan had a great time too!
Happy birthday Javan! Mummy and Daddy are so proud of you. We love you so much!

A Frozen Celebration

We invited 10 friends for a Frozen celebration at STUFFIEZ in the mall to celebrate Ria's birthday. STUFFIEZ is basically the same thing as Build A Bear. The girls had a wonderful time picking out animals, stuffing them, dressing them and naming them. They also watched FROZEN, ate cake and ice cream and just had a fun time with Ria.
Our princess with her cake - she was so excited about this. Her jaw dropped when she walked into the house and saw it. Made me so happy! It was definitely a labour of love.
Such a sweet group of girls:
Claire, Livi, Elleina, Kayla, Josselyn, LillyGrace, Lola, Bella, Grace, Ria, Izzi
These girls have been friends since they were all born. Six years later and they are still making memories together.
Love my sweet girlfriends and I love that our girls are all around the same age
I'd say our birthday girl had a fabulous time being celebrated :)
