Every year our church hosts a community Easter Egg Hunt. I've had the fun task of coordinating it the past couple of years and even though its a lot of work, its so much fun to do and the kids look forward to it. This year was just as fun as previous years, but we did have an unwelcome guest .... the bitterly cold and damp weather. There's just something unnatural about hunting for Easter eggs in winter coats and rain boots! It was so cold that I couldn't feel my legs and I could barely snap pics on the camera. My kids LOVED every minute of it. Javan even had a friend from his school show up at the event - pretty random since our church is about 40mins away from his school. They got to play in the inflatables, ride ponies, pet the animals in the petting zoo, get their faces painted and of cos hunt for eggs. Here's a few pics from the day ...

When Ria realized the Easter Bunny was on the firetruck, she freaked out and started crying. She refused to get anywhere near him. Later in the evening we asked them if they had fun. Javan of cos was all excited and wanted us to hear his fave moments of the day. Ria says 'yea it was fun. actually I didnt like it cos of that Easter Bunny. I don't like him!'
'Where o where do I begin!'
And just like that another event is over! Our T-shirts say 'Here to serve' on the back and thats really what we did. I am so proud of our church ... everyone worked so hard and helped pull off such a fun day for the kids in our community.
