Sunday Fun

 I guess they have summer on their minds!!!

We had lunch at Fuji (a hibachi place) with our friends, Tim, Karen and Rachel .... it was lots of fun. Javan loves watching the fire at these places and this was Ria's first time to actually see them cook. We haven't been there in probably over a year and she was too little then and was most likely asleep! She definitely enjoyed the show!

 After naps we spent time outside

 nothing like a good ol' game of catch!

Jermaine decided he wanted to have a braai so he grilled sausages and corn

but a little someone was too hungry to wait on the food and was caught red handed snitching grapes from the fridge

Such a perfect end to another full weekend.

Hey Soul Sister

We had a really fun evening yesterday at the wedding of one of Jermaine's work colleague's. Jenni was a beautiful bride and J had a good time catching up with several people he has worked with over the last couple of years.

You wanna know who pretty much owned the dance floor??? One guess ... yep, that would be our little miss. The minute she heard Train's Hey Soul Sister she made a mad dash for the dance floor while motioning for me to come on. She grabbed my hands and started doing her little baby dance moves.

 it was so funny to watch the adults kinda move to the side and give her floor! and of cos we didn't have a camcorder:(

The lobby of the hotel had several lounges and I loved this one with this damask print wallpaper (I LOVE anything damask and paisley!). I tried to get a few pics of the kids here but my gosh what a feat that was. There was so much going on that they were not interested at all. and of cos it was pretty dark so the pics didnt turn out as good.

 

We had a really great evening .... I just love everything about weddings:)

Field Trip: Javan Visit's A Bakery

Javan had a field trip to a local bakery yesterday. He was so excited about it and when he came home he was happy to report that this was his fave school trip so far! I'm sure those yummy cinnamon rolls they made had everything to do with that:)

 The bakery is vegan so these cinnamon rolls were actually 'healthy' ... if cinnamon rolls could ever be healthy!

He came home with a bag of four rolls - one for mummy, one for daddy, one for ria and one for javan - that's what he told me in the car. Guess who ate three of those four??? At least Ria got to sample one of them!

Never A Dull Day

Ria is a hoot these days .... she is a laugh a minute. No telling what is going on in that little mind of hers!

I opened the fridge the other day and found this

guess she was saving the rest for later.

Yesterday was cooking supper and the kids were playing so no worries there .... until Ria walked out with her shirt wet and I had no idea what she had gotten into. I walked into her room and this is what I see

That would be the diaper champ. She had climbed onto the changing table to get all these bottles. Her shirt was wet cos she got the sanitizer all over her.

Never a dull day .... never!

Girly Girl

 look who's getting into make up already!

she grabbed a hold of some lip gloss the other day and it was on her cheeks!

she's all about getting primped nowadays - loves trying on clothes, wants to wear jewelery, and is better at sitting still when I do her hair. She even wants to pick out her hair bows. I have to pretend I am putting on the ones she chooses cos they don't always match her outfit for the day!
