New Biker in Town!

He had fun!

Javan is too funny

Yesterday I was talking to Veryll about plans I was making for us. All of my body language and mannerisms showed how excited I was about these plans but to Javan it was funny. He kept on giggling as I would move my hands or do any sort of motion to Veryll.

After a while I looked at Javan who was beside himself and asked "Is daddy that dramatic?" His response as classic ... a very emphathic "YEAH."

Veryll and I couldnt stop laughing so Javan joined us too.

I tell you this little boy is too funny.

The last thing I told my wife...

Today Veryll wanted to let Javan play in his baby pool out back. So being the good husband that I am I went ahead and started filling up the pool. I thought the water would be a little cold so i went inside to get some warm water. THE LAST THING I TOLD MY WIFE WAS 'DON'T LET JAVAN GO IN THE POOL.'

While in the kitchen I heared an outburst of laughs from Veryll and Eleanor (our neighbour). I walk outside to see what was so funny and low and behold....

JAVAN IS IN THE POOL!!!!

that's Leah with him

check out his sneaky smile!

It was too funny for me to be upset about it so i joined in the laughs.

Skype

If you don't have it, get it! It's free too (www.skype.com). All you have to do is get a webcam so you can see the person you are talking to. We've been using Skype for over a year now (my dad told us about it) and we love it - well who wouldnt love chatting free to family when they are overseas!

here's javan online (not on skype) but he usually sits on my lap at the desktop and will chat or he walks around the room or sits on the bed and puts on a little show for my folks - they love it! if you have skype, let us know so we can add you.

The Blessing of In-laws

I don't know about ya'll, but i have wonderful in-laws! Veryll's parents (Chris and Rose) are wonderful people. They are very encouraging to us. When we decided to flip an investment property, they said "go for it." They were very excited to actually see the property during their visit early this year.

We are presently waiting on the u.s. government to approve our visa applications and during this frustrating time, my in-laws are praying for us, giving us encouraging words of faith and hope, and i just want to say that i thank God for them.

Let me also add that they are very proud grandparents. Every time Veryll calls them through the skype, they take time out of their busy schedules to talk with Javan and watch him on the monitor. They love seeing him and it is cool to watch Javan talk back to them in his own way. He talks and smiles, kisses the monitor and puts on a great show for them. i could not be a more proud father, husband, and son-in-law.

Chopsticks

We went to PF Chang's over the weekend and enjoyed some great Chinese food, not that buffet Chinese food, but good Chinese food! We like Chang's a lot. Makes you not want to eat at a Chinese buffet once you go there.

Javan had fun. We had a good laugh watching him with the chopsticks. He is so smart. Each time we put food in the front of him, he would try to pick it up with the chopsticks, much like he does with his spoon.

By the time dinner was done and we were ready to leave, he had three pairs of chopsticks in his left hand. Veryll tried to take them from him to give to the hostess but he screamed so loudly that i could hear him at the back of the restaurant.

In fact they had to give him some wooden "training" sticks so that he would stop crying. We traded the fancy sticks for the training ones and were able to make it to the car sans the tears. He was so fascinated with those chopsticks! He actually fell asleep holding on to them really tightly.

What can i say...that's my boy!
